Member Spotlight: China Bears
We’re shining another one of our member spotlights on China Bears. You might recognise their heartfelt indie stylings from our recent work on FILA’s Tennis & Golf campaign, which features their track ‘Sunday’. The band told us a bit more about the inspiration behind the song and provided some insight into their gig routine with a Pre-Show Playlist.
“Sunday was inspired by a particular Sunday afternoon where you realise you have reached the tipping point in processing how fast life can move sometimes.
“It’s a song about realising the importance of the people around you and how sharing your worries is a vital and human thing. But we like people to make their own interpretations too.”

Originally formed in Somerset by twin brothers Ivan and Frazer, the line up was completed in late 2015 after meeting James and Dean at university in Guildford. China Bears have spent the last few years playing extensively around the UK, with notable support slots for bands such as: Genghar, The Districts, To Kill a King, The Howl & The Hum, as well as many more. After self releasing 3 singles independently China Bears teamed up with Fierce Panda Records for the release of their debut EP ‘I’ve Never Met Anyone Like You’, picking up attention from the likes of BBC Introducing, BBC 6 Music, BBC Radio 1 and Radio X. China Bears are set to release new single ‘I’m Not Eating’ on 20th March 2020 to coincide with their first dates in USA for SXSW Festival before they head out on a UK headline tour in April.
